CERTIFICATIONS

Under the QAC UK  and ASET UK framework, Cambridge Academy of Translators accredits and certifies three levels of CCT (Cambridge Certified Translator), known as CCT-¢ñ, CCT-¢ò, CCT-¢ó, with CCT-¢ó at the top. Due to the practicality and seriousness of translation profession, all the certifications and awards are subject to tests and if needed, trainings. Tests and trainings can be delivered in sites out of UK. Each test and award involves English and one other language (which usually is the native language of the applicant).

Applicants are free to choose the level to apply for the test and award. However, applicants are advised to understand the requirements and outcome of each level before making decision.

QAC UK
 
QAC is one of the six independent accrediting bodies in the UK. It was established to assess competence in standards of qualifications from recognized UK Institutions. The Quality Assurance Commission (QAC) was formed as an autonomous not-for-profit organisation established in the United Kingdom. It was established as an accreditation organisation for non-degree based [Vocational] programmes at the following levels:
 
    * Professional Certificate/Diploma
    * Graduate Certificate/Diploma
    * Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma
 
The QAC is also listed in the 37th and 38th Edition of the British Qualifications.

ASET UK   
 
ASET (Accreditation Syndicate for Education & Training) is a leading National Awarding Body specialising in providing quality-assuring and certificating vocational learning programmes. ASET is a National Awarding Body recognized by all the relevant UK Government departments and agencies.
 
ASET is originated as an accrediting body in the regional examining board active since 1920s. Today, ASET specialises in providing, quality assuring, and certificating
vocational learning programmes.
 
ASET certificates are nationally recognized and provide clear information about the learning outcomes that have been achieved. Each ASET certificate includes the name of the successful learner, the title and level of the learning programme and the date the
certificate was awarded.
 
ASET is recognised in the U.K. by the DfEs, LSC and the Qualifications & Curriculum Authority and thus the qualification is accredited by the QCA in England, by the CCEA (Council for the Curriculum Examinations and Assessment) in Northern Ireland and by the ACCAC (The Qualifications, Curriculum and Assessment Authority) in Wales. ASET are recognised to provide awards to the NQF (National Qualifications Framework).
